I’ve lived in Durban a while and had the chance to stay at this hotel a couple of times. Honestly, the rooms are great and I don’t have many complaints at all.
The only real downside for me? It’s not beachfront. If you’re someone who wants to roll out of bed straight onto the sand, this isn’t the place. You’re looking at a 10-minute drive to the beach, or a really long walk if you go on foot.
On the flip side, what I love is how popular and welcoming it is. They take all types of travelers who just want a good time, and it feels really safe the whole stay.
So yeah, not ideal if you need to be right on the beach. But if you book a room with a beach view, you still get that wide Indian Ocean view from far away – and it’s actually beautiful.
